Rook Industries, Inc. runs Frankly. Resumes hold personal details, so we keep as little as we can.
What we keep
- Your name, email and a hashed password
- The results of your runs, including cover letters, and a title taken from the job posting, so you can see your history. We keep these until you delete your account
- Your Pro subscription status and renewal date from Stripe
- Session records, including IP address and browser, for security
What we do not keep
We do not store your uploaded file or your resume text. Files are read in memory. Saved results can quote lines from your resume, and a saved cover letter draws on it. We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising trackers.
Who processes it for us
- OpenAI receives your resume and job text to produce each result, and handles it under its API data policies, which allow it to keep data for a limited time for abuse monitoring
- Stripe handles payments; we never see your card number
- Resend delivers our emails
- Cloudflare carries traffic to our servers
Your choices
You can delete your account at any time from your account page, which removes your account and history right away. Encrypted backups are replaced on a rolling basis. Contact us for a copy of your data or with any privacy question.
